Who I Am

Currently, I’m living in Seattle, Washington, with my husband and two cats (Trixie and Pepper). I feel the most powerful when I’m drawing—I’ve been doing it since I could hold a pencil! I also love to drink fancy coffee beverages, and binge murder mystery TV series and old seasons of Rupaul’s Drag Race. I believe dogs are the greatest gift ever bestowed upon humankind, and little boys should play with dolls and wear dresses if they want to. I also love pizza and tacos.

In my approach to costume design, the collaborative process brings me the greatest fulfillment—the synergy between myself, the director, the actors, and my fellow designers. For me, costume design is never just about expressing my own thoughts or feelings about a character. The true magic happens when inspiration flows between creative partners. It is a gift to build something together that none of us could create alone.

My mission is to foster an environment where actors feel seen, heard, and valued as creative collaborators. I always begin a design grounded in my own perspective, but I remain open—eager—to hear theirs. I believe costume design thrives in conversation, not isolation. It grows and evolves as my relationship with the piece and its participants deepens. Costumes should be a shared expression—a fusion of my vision, the performer’s interpretation, and, most importantly, the director’s guiding thread. The director’s vision is the throughline, weaving us all together as we create.

One of my core goals as a designer is to create a safe, joyful space for exploration. I want performers to feel free to bring their full selves into the process, no matter what that looks like. Every time we dive into the work, I want to instill a sense of euphoria—a spark of joy.

As a costume designer, I’m privileged to share an intimate bond with the characters I help bring to life. Through my tools and craft, I speak directly to the audience—communicating the characters’ inner worlds, relationships, and lived experiences in a visual language that often whispers where words cannot. Costume design allows me to create entire worlds, bridging the past and present, inspired by costume history, Old Hollywood glamour, and contemporary fashion.

Above all, I am here to bring excellence, passion, and joy to every project. That is my promise—to the work, to my collaborators, and to the audience
